  • Which division is best to enter in?

The easiest entry point into competition is the forms division, and it's also one of the most cost-effective. If you're already skilled in martial arts weapons, adding the weapons division is a great next step. If you enjoy contact and want a faster-paced event, point sparring may be the right fit.

  • What gear do I need for competition?

Gear depends on your child's division. Weapons competitors need competition-grade weapons, lighter and faster than training weapons, built for tournament forms.

Point sparring competitors need upgraded competition gear: face shield, chest protector, elbow guards, shin guards, mouth guard, and a cup for boys.

All competition gear is available through our online store: https://cp.mystudio.io/r/?=PK/4777/297078//1787763715

  • Do we have to enter every tournament?

No. Most parents choose to enter their child in a maximum of 4 tournaments on average. That said, the more your child competes, the more reps they get, and the better their placements tend to become over time.

  • How much does Team PK cost?

Membership is available on a per-season or discounted annual basis, with pricing based on whether your athlete is new or returning to the team, and training single or multiple disciplines. Full pricing details are available on our Team PK Pricing Sheet.
